Serving Knoxville As One is a one-day, hands-on blitz of the greater Knoxville area by local churches serving people in need.  It is an expansion of what some know as Operation Inasmuch, and it is based on that model of community ministry that has been used effectively by about two dozen Knoxville churches in recent years.

Focus for October 2009 SKA1
The October 2009 SKA1 event will have the unique focus of Feeding the Hungry.  There are 2 main components of this emphasis:  (1) massive project using volunteers from all participating churches in which bags of dehydrated food are assembled to be shipped to hungry people in third world countries and (2) restocking food pantries throughout Knoxville by collecting non-perishable food items from shoppers at local grocery stores and delivering them to a pre-selected pantry.  Each participating church is asked to participate in both of these projects in addition to other projects they may plan.

The Z Foundation and Operation Inasmuch Inc.has planned one major celebration of Serving Knoxville As One on Sunday evening October 25 at 6 PM at the World's Fair Park Amphitheater.  The Christian band Sidewalk Prophets will give a short concert.  This event is FREE!  There be videos from the October 24 mercy ministry projects from all over Knoxville and testimonials.  It will be a grand celebration.  Come and bring a friend!!
